Jennifer Lopez to Compete in Malibu Triathlon Sept. 14

Jennifer Lopez has vowed to complete her upcoming triathlon, even if she has to "crawl across the finish line". The singer - who gave birth to twins Max and Emme in February - has been training intensively for the taxing event, which involves running, cycling and swimming. She said: "If I have to crawl across that finish line, I am going to. I keep telling myself that when I'm training, 'This is for charity. Your kids are going to know about this. Don't embarrass the family! Get it done, Lopez!' "But the swimming is a killer, I'm not a natural."

Lopez, who was voted Self magazine's Most Inspiring Woman of 2008, has also revealed how well her six-month old babies with husband Marc Anthony are doing. She said: "The babies are great, they're amazing. I hated leaving them this morning. They're sleeping through the night. We're very lucky." The 39-year-old mother also said she is not only participating in the event for charity, but for her children too. She added to US TV show 'Good Morning America': "I thought, 'What can I do to make my babies proud.' I think about what they'll think about the year they were born, who I was and what I did. "It's important for me to set examples for them." The Nautica Malibu Triathlon is to be held on September 14.

Jennifer Lopez's Movie "Maid in Manhattan" To Be TV Series

Jennifer Lopez is turning her 2002 hit romantic comedy, Maid in Manhattan, into a TV series. She has a joint venture with U.S. TV network ABC to produce a new series based on the film. Lopez will not star in the series, but will serve as an executive producer - overseeing the production and the script.

The show will mirror the storyline of the screen version, with a struggling maid working at a luxurious New York hotel, but it will feature an entirely different character. Writer Chad Hodge says that "The show is a different maid in a different Manhattan. She (Lopez) will be very integral in the pilot and series".

Jennifer Lopez Will Not Testify In Sean Combs Trial

Jennifer Lopez will not be forced to testify in a lawsuit against her former boyfriend Sean "Diddy" Combs on his involvement in a 1999 New York club shooting. She was dating the hip-hop mogul at the time of the incident, and was present during gunfire that took place on December 27, 1999, injuring two people.

Combs' rap protégé Shyne, who's real name is Jamal Barrow, is currently serving 10 years imprisonment after being found guilty of assault, reckless endangerment and possession of firearms in the trial as a result of the shooting. Combs was arrested for various accusations of violations, including weapons, but was acquitted of all charges. However, Combs and Shyne are currently involved in a $ 130 million (GBP65 million) civil suit filed by the victim Natania Reuben, who was shot in the face during the incident.

Jennifer Lopez - who was not called as a witness in connection with a 2001 criminal trial - was assigned by Reuben's lawyers in June/08, and was asked to give a deposition. But according to the reports, Jennifer Lopez had "nothing to contribute" to the case, and its deposit has been cancelled indefinitely - news which was confirmed by counsel for Reuben.
